Lulworth Cove & Durdle Door
Ages ago now, well actually probably a month ago, Jemma and I went to Durdle Door. I brought my Nikon FM2 and Leica M6 and a few rolls of Kodak Gold. After getting my Leica I hadn’t used my FM2 much so I also brought my tripod so I could try get some proper nice and sharp photos.
Not entirely sure what happened here but clearly the exposure is incorrect. Either, I’m just stupid or the light meter is wrong. I’m leaning more towards me being stupid. I’m assuming its the fact there’s quite a lot of sky and land so I would’ve had to meter for the sky and shadows but I just relied on the built in light meter which would’ve taken a meter for the sky.
Anyway, let’s move past that and walk into Lulworth Cove! As we were passing the car I decided to swap to the Leica M6.
As you can see, I decided to overexpose Kodak Gold for those lovely pastel tones! This sort of worked. I did soften the shadows during the scan which definitely helped. Still, absolutely love how these photos turned out!
I do hate taking photos on my phone but I did take a few since I ran out of film. I actually really love how these came out! I use a Pixel 7a.
